Neve Paritzki (נווה פריצקי)Jerusalem's first cycling tunnel open in Israel

The Kerem Tunnel offers a unique trail and riding experience to the enjoyment of 
The Kerem Tunnel, Israel's first bike tunnel, opened as part of the Jerusalem Ring Path. This 42-kilometer cycling route surrounds Jerusalem. 
It links Nahal Refaim to Emek Motza. Its southern entrance is in Refaim Park, below Ein Laban while the northern entrance is in Nahal Ein Kerem, about one kilometer away from the Kerem junction. 
On Thursday, Jerusalem and Heritage Minister Zeev Elkin, Mayor Michael, Avi Baleshnikov, Gihon chairman, and hundreds of cyclists attended a ceremony to officially open the tunnel's 2.1-kilometer-long length. 
"In the past, Jerusalem was an attractive tourist destination because of its rich history. נווה פריצקי Elkin stated that, in addition to its historical treasures the modern tourist industry is incorporated into the city of Jerusalem. "The inauguration of this tunnel is another aspect of the growth of Jerusalem. The tunnel makes Jerusalem an attractive tourist place for all types of audience throughout Israel and around the world." 
Elkin the minister whose ministry as well as the Jerusalem Municipality led the project, said that the Jerusalem Municipality's ministry "invests hundreds to millions of shekels annually in the growth of all aspects Jerusalem's tourists and in the design and operation of innovative attractions, ventures and attractions that link the rich history of Jerusalem's eternal city to the future". I encourage all cyclists to come and take a ride along the modern, well-maintained route that takes in the view of Old Jerusalem. 
Elkin's Ministry Elkin's Ministry, the Tourism Ministry, Jerusalem Municipality and the Gihon Corporation all contributed to the project. The Jerusalem Development Authority completed the work. 
Elkin said the fact that "The Kerem Tunnel Project is an essential tool for achieving the vision to transform the concept of transport throughout Jerusalem." "The new tunnel, which is connected to the Jerusalem Ring Path, will connect the existing cycle routes in the city as well as those that will be constructed within the various areas. It's designed to encourage bicycling among its residents, and to promote the green revolution in transportation in Jerusalem." 
The Kerem Tunnel, originally excavated by the Gihon Corporation in the 1990s to relocate its main sewer line to the Sorek purification plant.

Road construction, installation , and testing of electrical and safety systems are just a few of the ongoing efforts to ensure the tunnel is safe throughout the year. 
The Kerem Tunnel provides access to unique recreation locations, including Ein Kerem neighbourhood, the biblical aquarium and zoo as well the historic natural springs Ein Haniyeh, Ein Laban, and Ein Haniyeh.
