IMPORTANT: If you are updating from the old version, make a backup of this folder before un-installing the game from the start menu!

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP.random.numbs&letters_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang

i.e. C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP.930a94b99b_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang

Note that 930a94b99b will be different on your system!

Restore your backup after installing the new version. Create the "games" folder if it is missing (auto created on first game start-up)

Install instructions:
- Download and extract
- In the extracted Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_1.6.1.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe directory, run InstallApp.exe
- The app will now be registered. If you receive an error about DLC packages registering you may
  ignore this error: (Registering any existing DLC packages...failed!)
- YOU MUST start the game from the START MENU; NOT THE .EXE!
- Play! (LAN is confirmed working)
