Swap of a Lifetime [Nata Lee]
Before she found love in the most unlikeliest of places, Jemma was all about business. Always hungry and ready to do anything for the next big promotion, she was a force to be reckoned with in the Big City. Or rather, back then, they went by “he.” Yet another important way she had changed since rediscovering her roots.
Josh was SO close to making partner; just one task was asked of him: travel to Smalltown, where he was born and raised, to convince the locals to sell off a specific plot of land so the company could set up the plastic bag factory. Josh would have done anything to claw his way to the top and agreed to the underhanded deed. When he arrived back to his hometown of Smalltown, however, he stopped being so heartless. Who knows what cured him of being so heartless. Perhaps it was finally seeing his parents again, or seeing his old stomping grounds. Maybe it was Rustel, Josh’s childhood friend, whom he had also reconnected with. Rustel was tall, ruggedly handsome, always wore flannel, and, as he was a widower, singlehandedly took care of his young child. He even had a small yet still throwing business making artisan plastic bags, not that mass-produced phooey. In short, Rustel was a catch, and boy, if Josh was looking for love… AND ALSO INTO GUYS, WHICH HE WASN’T!
Oh, and the magical pond that grants wishes. That probably helped a lot towards Josh’s change of heart. See, while Josh was out on a hike with Rustel, they discovered the REAL reason why Josh’s bosses wanted the land so badly. Understandable, honestly. It was magic. How did the two friends discover this? Why, with Josh falling head-first into the drink, of course. No one could say for sure whose wish was actually granted, but in that instant, Josh was gone, and Jemma gladly took his place. Jemma was mostly still the same person, even keeping some of her old features- blonde hair, slim silhouette, spunky attitude- but gained some improved assets. Some very bouncy, very rounded assets. Yes, the wishing pond had been generous. Personality-wise, Jemma was also a heck of a lot happier, bubblier. Whether this was a result of the pond messing with her mind, or if she was finally free enough in a body that fit her and became more positive as a result, who could say? The same as to whether or not Jemma and Rustel would’ve fucked without arcane involvement. Tender, passionate, illuminated by the soft glow of the fireplace, their first time making love was the real holiday magic. And it wouldn't be the last, as Rustel ended up proposing soon after Jemma decided she would stay in Smalltown, using her business know-how for good, in service of the little community she once again called home. Jemma and Rustel would live in domestic bliss from then on, all thanks to a holiday miracle.
