Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking entry into tourism The numbers come from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -new record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IARj0i5sZlw The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4% rise over 2019, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% from 2019. 
 
נווה פריצקי "It is so exciting to see yet another increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers of 2019," stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is our top market for Israel's inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we saw record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel each month. We are extremely happy to witness this positive change and expect it to continue for a long time." 
 
Canada is also on track, as the United States, to surpass the number of tourists who visit Israel. In July 2022, Canada received 7,200 visitors and August saw the number increase to 6,000. 
 
"It is exciting to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are close to our record numbers for the year 2019. We expect that this growth will continue as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad. 
 
 
Israel received more tourists from around the world in the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of these were Americans. Israel's official opening for all tourists was in May of 2018. Israel has received more than 600,400 US tourists since the time of opening.
