 Locating .minecraft[] 
 
 Below is a table exhibiting the default directory for .minecraft. 
 
 Locating the .minecraft folder may be important for installing a resource pack or to locate any made screenshots. 
 
 The Windows location in the desk above is simply the default case. Launchers can set the .minecraft at any path. 
 
 If you are a Home windows person and are unfamiliar with how to search out your appdata folder, follow these steps: 
 
 1. Click Begin → Run. If you don't see "Run", press ⊞ Home windows + R. 
2. Kind %APPDATA%\.minecraft and click "Okay". 
 
 
If you're a Mac user, you may open the folder via Spotlight: 
 
 1. Minecraft Servers and press ⇧ Shift + ⌘ Command + G or open the Highlight popup through the magnifying glass icon on the correct of the Menu Bar. 
2. Kind ~/Library/Software Assist/minecraft and hit ↵ Enter. 
 
 
On Linux or macOS, the ~ in the trail refers to the house listing. Folders beginning with a . are hidden by default. In most file managers, hitting Ctrl + H toggles their hidden standing. In macOS particularly, since model 10.12 (Sierra), the shortcut ⌘ Command + ⇧ Shift + .
