Gustavo Petro, Winner of the Historic Pact: Lights and Shadows Candidate Gustavo Petro confirmed on Sunday the favoritism that the polls had been marking for a few weeks. The candidate said that Colombia does not have a retirement system, but instead a system that makes bank profits. Many believe this would stop the candidate from becoming president. Another thing that has been criticized concerning him is the fact that he frequently promises that he will cease oil extraction when he assumes his office.
