Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourism entry Counts from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswirein July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of tourist arrivals from the United States. The country welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from 2019, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from 2019. 
 
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. Canada is set to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 tourists in August.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since the country's official opening to any traveler regardless of the status of their vaccination in May of this year, the country has already seen more than 600,400 US tourists.
