Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking entry into tourism Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4% increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019. 
 
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He said, "It's so exciting to once more see an rise in tourism to Israel from the United States, and already exceeding or even surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism to Israel, and before the outbreak of COVID-19 that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism entry numbers month after month; We're so happy to see an improvement in the trend and expect a continued upward trajectory for years and months to come." 
 
Not far behind the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6000 in August.
