Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor, faith healer. Author. Television host. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Chris Oyakhilome is also known to his followers as Pastor Chris. Chris is the founder and president LoveWorld Incorporated. He has inspired millions across the globe with his unique interpretation of God's Word. 
 
Pastor Chris The Man 
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on December 7 7 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family that was a faith-based one, and was surrounded by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the oldest son born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina who is the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her faith in God's grace upon her son from a young age. 
 
The LoveWorld ministry includes the entire family. His brother Reverend Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is home of several best-selling gospel musicians. 
 
Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon, who is also known by CSO she has chosen to follow the example of her father by sharing the Gospel of God the world. She is an accomplished gospel singer who has won awards and is an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family. 
 
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome received his education at Edo College. He then won an award to study architecture at Bendel State University. He has also been awarded an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He was called from God to enter the ministry and to serve the Lord.

When he was still in university, the Man of God founded what would be one of the largest churches worldwide. He began an informal prayer group called "Youth for Christ" which would later become the most well-known group of its kind on campus. It was also the basis for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated, with millions of followers across the globe. 
 
The LoveWorld ministry was founded under the leadership of Pastor Chris. It's a leader in satellite television, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT became the first Christian television channel that broadcasts 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air channels. Christ Embassy is present in Pastor Chris's homeland of Nigeria and South Africa. A passionate philanthropist Pastor Chris Oyakhilome established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI), an non-profit, non-governmental organisation with the mission to help the most vulnerable individuals as well as communities in the poorest countries and regions around the globe. 
 
In addition to preaching the Gospel message, the Man Of God has also created NGOs that are tasked with providing essential services and hope to the most vulnerable and neglected. COFI is a partnership of five who are dedicated to improving living standards in some of the most degraded regions. 
 
Under the auspices of COFI are the InnerCity Mission (ICM) for Children as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups works to enhance the health, lives and spirits of the most in need. 
 
The charity also provides assistance for children who are in need.
