Twin seniors Felix and Frida were of the competitive sort, especially between each other. It was a quirk that had followed them well into young adulthood that- aside from the odd chipped tooth or scraped-up knee- was more helpful than harmful; just a way to stave off boredom. Little did they know, this rivalry would alter their lives in a way that would be impossible to come back from. Most would freak out after getting body-swapped from an old scroll Felix found at the thrift store, especially across gender lines, but as soon as the confusion and fear settled, the twins saw the opportunity for one of their iconic challenges. There was but one simple rule: first to ask for their body back loses. With a second skimming of the ancient parchment, they quickly discovered the way back into their original bodies would be to recite the incantation again. Again, all too easy; what could possibly go wrong? Well, after a week, the spell scroll was still locked away, unused, and neither sibling had relented. And so, the accident that became a wager mutated into a full-blown prank war. Felix’s too lazy to put on a bra for class while in Frida’s body, she makes sure his body’s caught wearing a g-string peaking out from “his” jeans. Frida pawns off Felix’s gaming console, he gets her a fresh leg tattoo and a septum piercing to match. So on, and so forth. The swapped knew the other all too well, so while they were able to embarrass themselves in the other’s body, it was hard to say who was currently on top, even if they could manage to set aside their pride. This all came to ahead with a VERY well-substantiated rumor of Frida sneaking into the locker room for some “extra practice” with half the football team. The one photograph Felix could find revealed she hadn’t gone all the way, even kept her clothes on the entire time, but the only thing that did was stain his lucky t-shirt and his reputation. The image of his old hands jerking guys off two at a time was enough to curdle his stomach- he knew none of his peers would ever see him the same way ever again. “Fine,” Felix fortified himself. If THAT’s the way Frida wanted it be, who was he to not take the nuclear option, as well?
