Neve Paritzki Israel Reliably Breaks Records in Tourism Entry Numbers United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/new record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4 percentage increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019. 
 
"It is so thrilling to once again see an rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels for the year 2019." said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism entry numbers month after month; We're extremely pleased to witness this positive change and expect a continued upward trajectory for months and years to come." 
 
In line with in the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 , and 6000 in August.

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019, with 969.600 being from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless whether they're immunized. Israel has already hosted more than 600,000.
