Neve Paritzki (נווה פריצקי)Jerusalem's first cycle tunnel has been open in Israel

The Kerem Tunnel provides a unique ride and hiking experience which is loved by everyone. 
נווה פריצקי The Kerem Tunnel is the first cycle tunnel in Israel and was opened as a part of the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycling route around the capital. 
 
The tunnel is a link between Nahal Refaim and Emek Motza. The tunnel's southern entry point can be found in Refaim Park below Ein Laban. The northern entrance can be found in Nahal Ein Kerem about half a km from the Kerem junction. 
 
The 2.1-kilometer long tunnel was opened on Thursday by Jerusalem and heritage minister Ze'ev Elkin as well as Moshe Lion, the Mayor. Moshe Lion. Avi Baleshnikov of Gihon the chairman of Gihon and a plethora of other cyclists were also present. 
 
Jerusalem was a desirable tourist destination because of its rich and fascinating historical. Elkin said that the present tourist industry is a part of Jerusalem's historical treasures and incorporates modern day tourism. "The opening (of [this] tunnel project is another aspect of the growth of Jerusalem and the transformation of Jerusalem into a popular tourist city for all sorts of people across Israel as well as across the world." 
 
Elkin is the project's director. project along with Jerusalem Municipality said that his ministry invests hundreds of millions in Jerusalem's tourism development and the development of innovative activities and ventures that tie the glorious past of Jerusalem to its future. I would like to invite cyclists everywhere to come and take a ride along the contemporary, well-maintained road that takes in the view of Old Jerusalem. 
 
Elkin's Ministry, Tourism Ministry, Jerusalem Municipality and Gihon Corporation contributed approximately NIS 25 million for the project. The project was executed by the Jerusalem Development Authority. 
 
"The Kerem Tunnel project is the central instrument for achieving the vision to alter the notion of transportation throughout Jerusalem," Elkin said. "The new tunnel, which will connect with the Jerusalem Ring Path, will join the existing cycle paths within the city, as well as the ones that will be paved within its various areas. It is designed to encourage bicycle riding within its inhabitants, and to promote an environmentally sustainable transportation system in Jerusalem." 
 
The Kerem Tunnel first was excavated in the 1990s to create a main sewer line for the Gihon Corporation towards Sorek. It is currently utilized as an infrastructure tunnel which includes the fifth waterline to Jerusalem from the Mekorot water corporation.

The works currently underway include road construction, installation of blowers as well as modern safety and electrical systems to make the tunnel safe for the public to pass through throughout the year.
