Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was raised by a loving family and supported by his parents. Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon chose to follow in her father's footsteps of sharing God's Word with all people. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to pursue a degree in architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) He received a BSc degree in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity awarded by the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where he discovered his calling to serve the Lord and go into ministry.

When he was still at university, the Man of God founded what would be one of the largest churches worldwide. He started an informal prayer group called "Youth for Christ" that would eventually become the most well-known organisation of its type on campus. It would also serve as the basis for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers around the globe. 
 
Under the guidance of Pastor Chris under the direction of Pastor Chris, under Pastor Chris's direction, the LoveWorld ministry was an innovator in satellite television and Christian programming and production. LOVEWORLDSAT was the first Christian television station that broadcast out of Africa all day long on free-to-air channels. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations all over the world. 
 
Christ Embassy has strong presence in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria, South Africa and Canada. Two Healing Schools are situated in South Africa and Canada. There Pastor Chris organizes seasonal sessions that allow miraculous healing to occur. 
 
Music and Gospel Music are integral parts of worship. Pastor Chris is adamant Christ Embassy Churches to have a choir trained by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry and under the direction and direction of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, many of these singers go on to have successful solo careers.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Internet (COFI) as an international non-profit organization. Its mission is to assist those who are most vulnerable and communities within certain countries and regions of poverty across the globe. 
 
The Man of God founded NGOs to offer vital services and bring hope to the poor, needy and neglected. COFI has five partners who support it, all of whom is dedicated to improving living standards in the most remote areas. 
 
Chris Oyakhilome Family COFI oversees the InnerCity Mission, ICM for Children The Volunteer Medical Corps and Trauma International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation , and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations works to enhance the health, life and well-being of those most in need. 
 
The charity also offers assistance for children who are in need. Pastor Chris believes that solid communities are supported by COFI and The InnerCity Mission. This helps to promote accountability leadership and good governance. The charity also helps to promote sustainable development in Africa as well in other areas of vulnerability in the world, in line to the Sustainable Development Goals.
