Walk and Talk [Carrie Emberlyn]

“Hey, wait up!” Tyler had finally caught up with Tess, but the woman made no indication of slowing down. Too desperate to let her discourage him, he kept pace, backwards-walking in front of her.

“So, uh, you won fair and square, of course, but I don’t think you quite understand how important…” he subconsciously scratched his groin area over his pants, cringing as his hands found only flatness, “what exactly you took from me.”

Tess maintained eye-contact, obviously listening, but also maintaining her current speed.

He tried again, eyes wide with the slow realization that he might not get through to her, “I shouldn’t have run my mouth like that. I see that now. I really have no problem with you being at guy’s night, honest. ‘The more the merrier,’ that’s what I always say!”

Silence. She was almost to the elevators now. He was losing his chance.

“I know what you said, but is there a way to- ahem- recoup my losses before the next poker night? I haven’t made it to my car yet and the guys have already been… they’re more curious than I am, believe me. I’ll do anything. Please, I can’t go into work like this!”

Tyler was so preoccupied with the larger problem at hand he took no notice of Tess fiddling with the drawstring of her pants. He opened his mouth to continue his pleading, but as he looked down it was his turn to be silent. Having that thing- HIS thing- being waved so flagrantly in front of him said more than anything she could say with her words. With that, Tyler rushed away from the elevators toward the nearest stairwell. He tried to play off his speedy exit as indignance, but in reality he needed to get out of there before she realized how slick from arousal he was at just a glance at his old member. No way any of his friends would let him live THAT down if they found out.
